Overview
The Nar Phu Valley trek is a real Himalayan wilderness Trek that offers an unforgettable experience with its spectacular views which lies between the Annapurna and Manaslu regions.
High peaks and passes, glaciers, secluded towns, small gorges, magnificent forests, amazing rock formations, yaks, gompas, and unique ethnically Tibetan cultures are all part of the walk across the Nar and Phu valleys. Few outsiders have seen these extremely unspoilt towns or ascended the many 7000 meter hills surrounding them because they were closed to trekkers until late 2002.
The journey begins at Besisahar, the usual starting point for the Annapurna Circuit, and quickly diverges from more popular routes into the lonely Nar and Phu valleys. You will have the opportunity to hang out with villagers in Phu while they go about their daily routines, as well as spend a night in the Nar Phedi monastery, as you pass through colorful Tibetan chortens and prayer stones into steep canyons and gorges. These are excellent ways to learn about life in Nepal's mountains.
