Overview

Nagi Gumba is a monastery located in Shivapuri (inside of Kathmandu Valley). It is surrounded by hills. Basically, Buddhist monks living here run the monastery. Hiking to Nagi Gumba is most popular here. It almost lasts for 40 mins to 1hr or even more depending on your physicality and stamina. The main purpose of this hike is to travel and explore nature, culture, vegetation, and faunas. Hikers(Visitors) can explore the vegetation on the way. On top of that, faunas like Indian Leopard, jungle cat, wild boar, rhesus monkey, hanuman langur, etc. is found here.

Itinerary

8:00 AM :
Pick up from the hotel. Then drive to Budhanilkantha.
8:30 am :
We will visit one of the famous Hindu temples of Lord Bishnu. The guide will brief you on the detailed information regarding the temple.
9:00 am :
We start the trek from the temple to reach the Shivapuri Entrance gate.
9:30 am :
We walk towards the entrance gate to enter a Sivapuri national park then start our hike to Nagigumba around 2 hours.
11:30 am :
Sightseeing around the Nagigumba and exploring the Gumba. We will see the monks are chanting inside the Gumba.
12:00 am :
Lunch time.
2:30 am :
Walk back to Budhanilkantha.
3:00 am :
Drive back to Hotel from Budhanilkantha.
