Overview

The eighth highest mountain in the world i.e. Manaslu (8,163m) is located in Gorkha, Manang-Gandaki Province, Nepal. In Sanskrit, Manaslu means Manasa which means “intellect” or “soul”. Basically, Toshi Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu ascended Manaslu on May 9, 1956, by Toshi Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu. Manaslu trek is one of the best and most difficult treks in Nepal which is 180km in length roughly. It takes you close to the Manaslu Conservation Area and provides you with a mesmerizing glimpse of Mt. Manaslu. Moreover, it is an alternative trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Mountains like Ganesh Himal, Simnang Himal, Hiunchuli, Magadi, Larkye Peak, Cheo, and possibly Kang Guru, etc. can glance on the way. Rivers like Dudh Khola River, Marshyangdi, Trishuli, Budhi Gandaki, etc. can be seen as well. Furthermore, the eye-catching view of the Annapurna area which is engulfed inside the snow cap is spotted. In addition to this, the prominent attractions here are high glacier lakes, stunning flora and fauna, cultural heritage sites, and traditional Tamang and Sherpa settlements.

Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu. Our representative will assist and transfer you to the hotel. Check-in to the hotel, a short briefing will be done about the trek once you have checked in. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 02 : Kathmandu Sightseeing
Breakfast at Hotel. The guide will assist and escort you for full-day sightseeing including Patan Durbar Square an ancient palace that is converted into an open museum. The place offers you the beautiful and historic monuments, temples, architecture of the 16th century influenced by both Buddhist and Hindu religions. The tour also continues with the major sites i.e. Boudhanath Stupa & Pasupatinath temple. Both the stupa have gained equal value in Buddhist people. Boudhanath is one of the largest stupas in South Asia. Pasupatinath is one of the sacred places for the Hindu religion. The temple of Lord Shiva, where millions of people visit every year. Back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 : Drive to Soti Khola (710 m):9 Hrs.
After Breakfast. We drive to Soti Khola, the drive offer you the scenic view of the highway and countryside along with the natural resources such as river and hills. On the way, we can also see the settlement of the local people. Overnight at Local Lodge.
Day 04 : Trek to Machha Khola (900 m):6 Hrs.
After breakfast, we start our Manaslu trek. We start our walk along the Budhi Gandaki River then walk steeply through a forest trail. Today we walk through Gurung village, terrace farming, and waterfall. The day offers you to explore with the Magnificent view of landscape along with local village settlement. Overnight at Machakhola.
Day 05 : Trek to Jagat (1410 m):7 Hrs.
After breakfast, we begin our walk towards Jagat. At first, we walk through Kholabesi to Tatopani, A hot spring natural spring. Then we stroll through a forested trail till we reach Dovan Khola. We rood several suspension bridges. The up and down trail will lead toward our station Jagat. Overnight at Jagat.
Day 06 : Trek to Philim (1590 m):4 Hrs.
After breakfast, we start our walk towards Philim. The trail today will offer a beautiful view of the Sring Himal. Once we cross Salleri village we walk steeply upwards then descend down to the beautiful village of Sirdibas. Then we cross a suspension bridge and walk the steep trail to reach Philim. Overnight at Philim.
Day 07 : Trek to Bihi Phedi (2130 m):6 Hrs.
Start our walk in a beautiful environment to reach Bihi Phedi enjoying the view of Sringi Himal. The trail starts with the comfortable trails till Ekle Bhatti. Then we walk descending to the point where the Tsum valley and Manaslu circuit gets separated. Continue our walk towards Bihi Phedi.
Day 08 : Trek to Namrung (2670 m): 6 Hrs.
Breakfast in our lodge, the breathtaking view of the Himalayas will please you before we continue our walk. Today we will explore Chorten, Gumba, houses which reflect the Buddhist culture. The 6 hours trail will offer the Buddhist influence with the beautiful landscape.
Day 09 : Trek to Lho (3180 m): 4 Hrs.
After breakfast, we continue our walk towards Lho as we are obtaining 3000m altitude. The trail continues to amaze with the eyememorising view of the Himalayas including Sinmang and Naike Himal. Continue our walk enjoying the beautiful Himalayas trail. Overnight local lodge.
Day 10 : Trek to Samagaun(3530 m):5 Hrs.
After breakfast we continue our walk to Samagaun, first, we walk downwards until we reach Shyala. From there we walk upwards enjoying the view of the Himalayas. Overnight at Samagaun.
Day 11 : Acclimatization Day
Today we will have a free day. Exploration around Samagaun.Overnight at Local lodge.
Day 12 : Trek to Samdo (3860 m): 5 Hrs.
After breakfast, we continue our walk towards Samdo. We will see yaks and donkey on the trails as we are walking towards Yak pasture to reach Samdo.The trail continue to amaze with the stunning view of the Himalayas with the scenario of the donkey yak carrying the goods to their destination. Overnight at Samdo.
Day 13 : Trek to Dharamshala (Larke Phedi) (4460 m):4 Hrs.
Breakfast then we walk towards Dharmashala or Larke Phedi, a famous pass walking around 5 hours. The trail offers a beautiful view of the Himalayas. Today we will enjoy the beautiful view of the Manasalu Mountain before we reach the Larke Phedi. Overnight at Larke Phedi.
Day 14 : Dharamshala – Larke La Pass (5160 m) – Bimthang (3720 m): 8 Hrs.
The main day of our trek is as we are walking to the highest elevation to a Larke la Pass. Early in the morning, we walk steep to reach our highest elevation enjoying the stunning view of the Himalayas. From the top, we will encounter the stunning view of the Gyaji Kang, Pang Phuchi, Himlung, Annapurna, and many other peaks after exploring the larke pass we walk downwards very carefully to Bhimtang where we spent the night.
Day 15 : Trek to Tiliche (2300 m):6 Hrs.
We continue our walk to reach Telche. The trail continues walking downward from Bhimtang. The trail will offer a beautiful view of the Himalayas including Manasalu, Himlung, and Lamgung Himal. We also walk through a forested trail towards Gho village before we Reach Tiliche. Overnight at Tiliche.
Day 16 : Trek to Jagat (1300 m):6 Hrs.
After breakfast, we continue our walk to Jagat from where we drive to Kathmandu. Today is the last day of our trek as we completed our Manaslu trek. We walk downwards enjoying the beautiful rural lifestyle of the people living on the trail. Overnight at Jagat.
Day 17 : Drive back to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu following the same scenic view. Check-in Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 18 : Departure
You will have your breakfast at the hotel. As per your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the international airport of Kathmandu 3 hours prior to the flight time and your tour ends here.
