Overview
The Himalayan Mountains surround Kathmandu, Nepal's capital. Durbar Square, which lies at the heart of the old city's mazelike lanes, becomes frantic during Indra Jatra, a religious celebration with masked dances. A 2015 earthquake damaged or destroyed a number of the city's historic sites. The palace of Hanuman Dhoka in Durbar Square is being reconstructed, as is Kasthamandap, a wooden Hindu shrine. Kathmandu Valley Mountain Bike tour brings you to a close with the destinations like Nagarkot, Namobuddha, Balthali, Panauti, etc., and so forth.
