Overview

Mount Kailash, known as Lord Shiva's heavenly abode, is known for its majestic beauty and Manasarovar. Kailash is inextricably linked to the lake. Manasarovar is a large freshwater lake situated in Tibet (China) and is a pilgrimage holding religious importance for Hindus, Jains, and Buddhists. Every year lakhs of pilgrims and tourists across the world visit Manasarovar to experience the beauty and piousness of the place.

Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu [1,330 m]
Arrival in Kathmandu. Our representative will assist and transfer you to the hotel. Check-in to the hotel, a short briefing will be done about the trek once you checked in. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Breakfast at Hotel. Today we will have a sightseeing in Pasupatinath and Patan durbar square. Pasupatinath is one of the World heritage sites, a Hindu temple of Lord Shiva where Hindus are compulsory to visit. Patan durbar square is an ancient palace now converted into open museums where you can experience the temple, monuments, architecture of the 16th century. Back to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03 : Drive to Kerung
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will drive to the border of Tibet Kerung. The drive offers you a scenic view of the countryside. Once we reach the border we will finish immigration formalities. The Tibetan guide will brief about the entire trip to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04 : Drive to Saga (4450m)
Today we will drive to Saga. The drive continues with the scenic view of lakes, yak, and sheep grazing. We will also have a view of the Himalayas including Langtang, Gaurisankar, Shishapangma from the pass. Once we cross the Brahmaputra River we will reach Saga village. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 05 : Drive to Manasarovar via Paryang
After Breakfast, we continue our drive to Mansarovar, A holy greenish-blue lake that has religious importance. The drive continues with the beautiful view of the Mountain. After we cross-paying we are offered the view of the Manasarovar. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 06 : Drive to Darchen
Breakfast. We will drive about an hour exploring the holy lake Manasarovar performing some rituals then we reach Darchen. A village situated in front of Mt Kailash. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 07 : Drive from to Yamadwar and trek to Derapuk
Breakfast then drive to Tarboche. A starting point of Kailash Parikrama. We will start our holy walk to reach Derapuk. The walk continues with beautiful views of the Himalayas. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 08 : Kailash Kora. Trek to Juthulpuk via Drolma La Pass
Walking Duration (8-9 hours, 19km, 4760m). Today is important and difficult but on the Holiest day of this parikrama, we will be heading to the village of Jarok Donkhang. Once we are at the top, we perform the holy ceremonies and meditate. O/N at local guest house.
Day 09 : Kailash Kora. Drive back to Saga. Overnight at Guesthouse
During the morning, we will be exploring the caves and temples around the Milarepa cave. After breakfast, we will hike some 3-4 hours to complete our Kora and get back to the village of Darchen. We will have lunch there, and drive back to the village of Saga. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 10 : Drive back to Kerung
We will have a comfortable drive back to Kerung village. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 11 : Kerung to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu. We will fulfill and complete our immigration formalities on the border. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 : Departure Day
You will have your breakfast at the hotel. As per your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the international airport of Kathmandu 3 hours prior to the flight time and your tour ends here.
