Overview

Ganesh Himal (7,422m), named after the Hindu god Ganesh is located in the north-central part of Nepal and some parts of Tibet as well. This trek will closely bring you up with the mountains which are elevated above 7,000m (mostly). For instance, Ganesh Himal Massif (7,893m), Manaslu(8,156m), Annapurna (8,091m), Langtang (7,234m). You’ll be glimpsing traditional villages where Tamangs and Gurungs are inhabitants. Moving above the village, beautiful forests of bamboo, larch, pine, and rhododendron are spotted as well. Various faunas like Asamese Monkey, Leopard, and numerous kinds of birds have glanced here. You’ll not only be limited with the floras and faunas here but the seasonal crops like Corn, Maize, Rice, and many more can be explored here.

 

Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu.
Arrival in Kathmandu. Our representative will assist and transfer you to the hotel. Check-in to the hotel, a short briefing will be done about the trek once you have checked in. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 02 : Kathmandu Sightseeing
Breakfast at Hotel. The guide will assist and escort you for full-day sightseeing including Patan Durbar Square an ancient palace that is converted into an open museum. The place offers you the beautiful and historic monuments, temples, architecture of the 16th century influenced by both Buddhist and Hindu religions. The tour also continues with the major sites i.e. Boudhanath Stupa & Pasupatinath temple. Both the stupa have gained equal value in Buddhist people. Boudhanath is one of the largest stupas in South Asia. Pasupatinath is one of the sacred places for the Hindu religion. The temple of lord shiva, where millions of people visit every year. Back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 : Kathmandu – Satdobato (1500 m): 7 Hrs.
After Breakfast. We drive to Satdobato, the drive offers you the scenic view of the highway and countryside along with the natural resources such as rivers and hills. On the way, we can also see the settlement of the local people. Overnight at Local Lodge.
Day 04 : Trek to Bhalche( 1950 m): 5 Hrs.
Breakfast, then we walk to head towards Balche. The trail offers you the terrace farming of the local people. We walk through the village exploring their daily lifestyle. Normally Tamang people are living in the village. We will also see the Buddhist and Hindu temples on today's trail. Overnight in Camp.
Day 05 : Trek to Gonga. (2900 m):6 Hrs.
On the second day continuing with the walk we will head towards Gonga. Today we walk on the jungle trail crossing small streams on the way approaching Thulo chaur where people live in a hut to collect bamboo for making baskets. The trail will offer the beautiful Pine & Rhododendron forest. Different flora and fauna can be observed. Overnight in Camp.
Day 06 : Trek to Rupchet (3660 m):4 Hrs.
Breakfast viewing the majestic view of the Langtang and Tibet peak. Then continuing our walk towards Rupchet. The trail continues with the forest of Pine and rhododendron trees. Today we can also have a chance to view different kinds of fauna including Assamese Monkey, Leopard, and different kinds of birds. Overnight at Camp.
Day 07 : Trek to Shing La Pass/Top (4200 m) - Sertunga Kharka (2440 m): 6 Hrs.
Early in the morning, we will hike for 2 hrs. to reach out to today's destination Shing la Pass, The highest and most important day of our trek. The view from the pass is breathtaking as you will be offered a sun-kissed Himalayan range including Ganesh, Langtang, Manaslu, and Tibet range. Walk back to camp then continue our journey to reach Sertung Kharka through a forested trail. Overnight in Camp.
Day 08 : Trek to Shertung village (2000 m): 3 Hrs.
Breakfast then continue our walk to reach Sertung village. At first, we walk through a forested trail then continue through the agricultural land of the villagers exploring the seasonal crops like Corn, Maize, Rice, and many more. Overnight at Camp.
Day 09 : Trek to Jharlang Phedi (1450 m): 6 Hrs.
After breakfast, we continue our walk through a village encountering Tamang people. The trail offers a magnificent view with the Ganesh Himal view. Overnight at Camp.
Day 10 : Trek to Kintang Phedi (1000 m):6 Hrs.
After breakfast, we continue our walk enjoying a great view of the Himalayas passing through different small villages enjoying their daily lifestyle and culture. The crops and the seasonal vegetable where they sell in the local bazaar for their living. We spend our night at Kintang Phedi.Overnight in camp.
Day 11 : Trek to Serabensi Jyamrung (700 m):6 Hrs.
The trail continues through the village exploring the daily lifestyle of the local villagers continuing downwards to reach Serabensi Jyamrung. Today we will spend the night in Jyamrung village. We can enjoy and experience the daily lifestyle of the people as we are staying in the homestay.
Day 12 : Trek to Sukaura and drive to Kathmandu: 6 Hrs.
Today we head towards Sukaura. From Sukaura we drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 13 : Departure Day
You will have your breakfast at the hotel. As per your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the international airport of Kathmandu 3 hours prior to the flight time and your tour ends here.
